Why fees change everything

Beginners often compute profit as (sell − buy) × amount and stop there. But every exchange charges trading fees on both sides of the trade, and on small trades those fees can erase the entire gain. This calculator subtracts the buy fee from your invested capital and the sell fee from your proceeds, so the number you see is what actually lands in your pocket.

How ROI is calculated

ROI (return on investment) = profit ÷ total cost × 100. A $50 profit on a $500 investment is a 10% ROI; the same $50 on a $5,000 investment is just 1%. ROI lets you compare trades of different sizes fairly — a habit worth building early.
